Connectors

With more 5G enabled smartphones, there are increasing functionalities, such as cameras and sensors. Connectors are now miniaturized to have narrower pitch, lower mating height and more pins. However, with these added features comes the challenge of supporting them on older technologies and functionality.

Compact Camera Modules

With more 5G enabled smartphones, there is increasing demand for better quality pictures and videos, leading to high-performance cameras with higher resolution, multiple lenses, improved sensors and zooming capabilities.

Enclosure and Frame

Smart phone frames and back covers have evolved from plastics to metal and are now a combination of metal and glass. In order to maintain stable signal reception and transmission, specially designed high-performance materials have been applied to metal frames to create a signal path.

Antenna

As 5G technology develops, better wireless communication is required in mobile devices. Smartphones must have antennas for mobile data and WIFI connection. In addition, more antennas are necessary for GPS, NFC and Bluetooth. 5G is driving new solutions with specially designed products to achieve reliable connectivity.
